Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
Prepper's Porch is operated by Sentinel AV LLC ("we" or "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use preppersporch.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].
What we collect
- Account details: your username, email address, and state.
- Your password, in protected form: we store a one-way hash, not the password itself.
- Your agreement: the date and time you confirmed you're 18 or older and agreed to our terms.
- Sign-in cookies: small files that keep you signed in and protect our forms. We don't use them for advertising.
- IP addresses: we use them briefly to slow down repeated sign-in and signup attempts, and our service providers may process them as they deliver the site.
How we use it
- To create your account and sign you in
- To send emails about your account, such as confirmation and password reset links
- To apply location-based rules on the site, and to help people find others nearby
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information, and we don't run ads. We share only what's needed with these service providers:
- Cloudflare carries traffic between you and our server.
- Resend delivers our emails, so it receives your email address and the message.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on our pages, so your browser contacts Google and shares your IP address.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or if needed to protect people's safety or our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details until your account is deleted. Backups are kept for up to 14 days, so deleted information can remain in them until they roll off. Records of repeated attempts are normally cleared within about a day.
Your choices
You can see your account details and change your password on your account page. To correct your details or delete your account, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights, and you can use the same address to ask about them.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website is perfectly secure.
Adults only
Prepper's Porch accounts are for people 18 or older. If you believe someone younger has an account, please tell us so we can remove it.
Changes
We'll update the date above when this policy changes. For significant changes, we'll let members know by email or on the site.
